July 2025 brought a truly special day for everyone at Kingston Dental Clinic<\/strong>. We were honoured to take part in a meaningful and memorable charity golf event, organised by none other than the Practice Owner, Mr Jitu Parmar\u2019s dear friend, Maxillofacial Consultant and Cancer Surgeon Mr Mahesh Kumar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Kumar, who serves as President and Clinical Ambassador of the Mouth Cancer Foundation<\/strong>, has long been a driving force in raising awareness and support for people affected by mouth, head, and neck cancers. His dedication and compassion have inspired so many\u2014us included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Capture\"A Purpose Beyond the Fairway<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The event was more than just a day on the green\u2014it was a beautiful mix of sport, community, and cause. From a relaxed breakfast and 18 holes of golf to generous raffle prizes and a lovely evening dinner, the day was filled with connection and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere was electric yet deeply moving. Whether people were teeing off, sharing stories over dinner, or buying raffle tickets to support the cause, the message was clear: every swing counts when it\u2019s for something bigger than ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the success of the 2023 event\u2014which raised \u00a34,700\u2014we\u2019re proud to share that this year\u2019s golf day matched that spirit and generosity, once again helping to advance the Foundation\u2019s vital work. Even more special, 2025 marks 20 years<\/strong> since the Mouth Cancer Foundation became a registered charity\u2014a true milestone worth celebrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s impossible to talk about this day without mentioning Mr Mahesh Kumar himself. His energy, humility, and tireless advocacy are the heartbeat of so many of the Foundation\u2019s efforts\u2014from fundraising and community events to nationwide awareness campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll often find Mr Kumar speaking at major conferences or creating educational resources for patients and healthcare professionals alike. His message is always clear: early detection saves lives<\/strong>\u2014and we\u2019re proud to stand beside him in spreading that message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"capture\" Why We Got Involved<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At Kingston Dental Clinic, we believe that dentistry is about so much more than teeth. It\u2019s about health, confidence, and catching issues early. Every Dental Examination involves a thorough oral cancer screening where through fast referrals, lives can be saved. Considering that late detection of oral cancer may result in only 39% survival compared with localised early detection where the 5 year survival rate can be as high as 85%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Mr Kumar invited us to share the story of this event on his official blog\u2014and even feature one of the day\u2019s photos on his website\u2014we were deeply touched. It\u2019s a small way for us to amplify an incredibly important cause and keep conversations about oral cancer going, especially when it can often be overlooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
